They start making decisions from the version of themselves that is already there, and only then the world catches up.
Take Jeff Bezos, for example. He did not build Amazon like it was only an online bookstore. If you read his early investor letters, you can see how he had a huge, long-term vision from day one. And every decision and play was based off of that.
He was operating in alignment with the version who he is today - decades later, billions of dollars richer, millions of people impacted, and with a company with hundreds of employees.
Branson did not move like he needed permission to enter airlines, music, mobile, hotels, and space.
Zuckerberg did not wait for the pressure to disappear before making company-defining bets.
Itzler did not wait until bigger rooms felt comfortable before stepping into them.
Different people. Different paths. Different strategies.
But the same principle.
At higher levels, bigger decisions become normal. More pressure becomes normal. Bigger asks become normal. Greater attention becomes normal. Bigger responsibility becomes normal.
The real lesson is that your next level cannot stay outside of you.
The future version of you cannot be in the future.
You have to become them right now, and let the reality you want catch up.
Because if more money subconsciously feels heavy, you will avoid it. If more visibility feels unsafe, you will pull back. If bigger decisions create doubt, you will delay. If stronger leadership feels uncomfortable, you will soften your own authority.
And this is why changing your strategy, your offer, your team, or your content is not enough by itself.
Sure, those things can help...
But they will not take you to a level that still feels foreign to your current identity.
Your external reality will keep reflecting what has become normal inside of you.
So if you want the next level to become normal in your business, it first has to become normal in the way you think, decide, lead, receive, and act.
